5 Tips on How to Live a Happy and Prosperous Healthy Life

5 Tips on How to Live a Happy and Prosperous Healthy Life

Everyone deserves to live a prosperous healthy life. All of our lives should be worth living. And a life worth living must have a purpose. A lot of it actually depends on how we define “prosperity” and “happiness”. Because prosperity does not necessarily mean financial prosperity. It is not about owning an expensive car or a luxury house. In fact, prosperity is rarely about how much you have in your bank account. Rather, prosperity is about how we choose to look at our reality. Our life starts to prosper when we understand and acknowledge that we are not lacking. We have enough and we are enough.

But what most of us don’t realize is we constantly need to make conscious and careful life choices if we want to lead a happy, purposeful life. Happiness and prosperity is more of a state of mind than anything external.  It is mostly to do with facing the difficulties of life with a good spirit. Nurture your mind with positive and careful thoughts, ideas, planning and implementation.

If you follow these 5 tips and practice them in your mind, you are more likely to achieve a happy and prosperous life. I will also share some prosperous life quotes for each of these individual steps.

#1: Admit your mistakes and learn from them

I cannot emphasize enough on how important it is to recognize that you made a mistake when you make a mistake. The ability to recognize and acknowledge your own mistakes is a sign of growth and maturity.

And you can learn from your mistake only when you have admitted that you have made it. As soon as you step up and tell yourself “I am responsible for this mistake”, your possibilities of learning from the mistake automatically goes up. Hence, how you choose to react to your mistakes decides whether you will learn from it or be defined by it.

If you look closely, the ability to acknowledge failures, get back up, and regain the previous mindset is what makes successful people different. Only when you know your mistakes, you are able to learn a lesson and try a different path with a “never giving up” attitude.

“Many times what we perceive as an error or failure is actually a gift. And eventually, we find that lessons learned from that discouraging experience prove to be of great worth.” – Richelle E. Goodrich

#2: Break down big goals into milestones

There is nothing wrong with having big goals or big dreams. But when you have a big goal, it is easier to feel lost mid way. It may often seem complicated or overwhelming when you try envisioning the end result. That is why it is important to have a clear vision that can be taken forward and just plan accordingly.

Break your big goal down into smaller goals or actionable steps. These smaller goals are more like milestones you can achieve within specific time periods. You will no more feel frightened or lose focus from your aim. The complications you were feeling before will significantly lessen. You will be amazed that the milestones you successfully stepped on along the way have brought you closer to your big dream.

“Our goals can only be reached through a vehicle of a plan, in which we must fervently believe, and upon which we must vigorously act. There is no other route to success.” – Pablo Picasso

#3: Help others

Giving back to others is probably one of the most substantial ways to feel happier and more fulfilled in life. It is in fact the key to a prosperous healthy life. When you help others, you end up a well-rounded person with reduced stress levels and a feeling of gratefulness.

Giving others a piece of your attention, time and effort extraordinarily boost your mental health. It can be as small and simple as picking up your neighbor’s groceries or donating your old clothes to a charity or helping an elderly person with house cleaning. Every little thing you give to others comes back to you as a blessing. It is definitely going to pay you in the long run.

“There is no exercise better for the heart than reaching down and lifting people up.” – John Holmes

#4: Stop overthinking

Overthinking is a dangerous habit and it inevitably leads to emotional distress. The life of an overthinker is primarily dominated by “what ifs” and “shoulds”. If you consistently keep doing it, you fall into a never-ending loop. The more you do it, the harder it is to stop. Hence, overthinking is a sign of negativity. It will prevent your mind from producing any creative or constructive ideas. Until and unless you defeat this pattern of thinking, you will not be able to win at life.

Fortunately, it is possible to stop overthinking by getting a grip on your self-talk. Replace all the negative things your inner voice is telling you with all positive things. Honestly, it is just about becoming self-aware of your thinking pattern and talking yourself out of it whenever you notice the habit of overthinking.

Let me share with you a useful trick to talk yourself out of overthinking. The next time you find yourself creating a mountain out of a molehill, just ask yourself whether it will still matter in five years. You will see it automatically shuts down the overthinking.

“Don’t get too deep, it leads to over thinking, and over thinking leads to problems that don’t even exist in the first place.” – Jayson Engay

#5: Practice forgiveness

Forgiveness plays a crucial part of living a happy life. Forgiveness initiates healing, which gradually translates to our physical and mental wellbeing. Forgiveness is something you need to do for your own good rather than anyone else’s. You will always be the primary beneficiary. Nothing good ever comes from holding onto a grudge.

The first step to a prosperous healthy life is to let it go. Once you lose this heavy burden that you have been carrying around, you will start to feel much more empowered. Perhaps one of the best things you can do for yourself is to develop an empathetic and forgiving mind.

“Forgiveness does not change the past, but it does enlarge the future.” – Paul Boose

Bottom line

No one can achieve a happy and prosperous life without commitment and resolution. It needs planning, making conscious choices and taking careful decisions. Most importantly, it needs a clear goal setting and not losing focus until you reach the target. Keep in mind – your life can be anything you want to be.

Hope the tips I shared and the prosperous quotes become useful to you. If you have anything more to add let me know in the comments.

How to Level Up in Life – 9 Step by Step Approach to Get Success in Life

How to level up in life and get more done

Today, I’m going to tell you how to level up in life and get more done. We all want to live a good life and have an ideal lifestyle, but we also find it hard. Sometimes it is difficult to take that small step and make a change in your life. But in reality, it is not that hard. You just got to have a goal and keep pursuing it to make it happen.

What does it mean to level up in life?

Simply put, levelling up your life means to improve your present state of life, bring positive changes. If you really want to level up yourself in real life, you can simply start with a small change in your thought or in your attitude or a shift in your mindset.

The key is to earn confidence. And unlike dopamine, which only lasts for a short while, confidence stays with you your whole life, once you earn it and own it. Inner growth changes your reality.

Once you truly decide to learn how to level up in life, you begin to ask questions to yourself – about your purpose, your career, your skills, where you are and where you want to be. Therefore, the first step towards levelling up your life is to quit staying stuck in the past – be it your past patterns, past habits, past routines or even past relationships. It’s okay to take the time you need to get clarity. You may even feel vulnerable and alone at times. But it’s all part of the plan.

How do you level up mentally?

At a certain point in life, we all ask ourselves the question “how can I live an interesting life?” We keep coming up with ideas about how we can level up in life. But when the time comes to do it, we tend to procrastinate or fail and give up. So for starters, we need to understand that now is the time for action. Enough with the delays and excuses.

If you want to transform and level up in real life, you just need to follow a few simple steps. Let’s do these things if you want to level up mentally.

What does it mean to level up in life?

Step #1: Respect yourself

Start with self-respect, because others will respect you only when you respect yourself. Seeking validation from others is an unhealthy habit and it needs to stop.

Stop saying negative things to yourself – things like “My feelings don’t matter” or “I don’t deserve this” or “I’m not worth it” or “No one loves me”.

Instead, start telling yourself “I’m worth loving”. Once you stop saying those negative things to yourself and start thinking positive, you will start believing it too. Thus, you will stop the negative energy from taking over your life and mentally uplift yourself.

Improving yourself or trying to be a better person does not always mean being hard on yourself. In fact, most of the time it is just the opposite.

Practice self-kindness, take care of your mental health. Once you let go of the negative thoughts about yourself, you can build self- improvement habits into your daily routine.

Let go of the regrets, resentments, and pains – practice forgiveness.

Respect yourself Start with self-respect, because others will respect you only when you respect yourself.

Step #2: Create new habits

Reinforce your positive thoughts with action. Bring new habits into your daily life – habits that will support your changed mindset. The key to growing mentally is to integrate and practice powerful habits or routines.

If you really want to level up mentally, adopt a “growth mindset”. Start learning new things, note down your daily learnings and achievements if necessary. Don’t aspire to start something amazing right from the start. Rather, start small and improve gradually.

This approach gives long term results. It will enhance your willpower and as a result, it will feel a lot easier to stick to your new habits for a changed lifestyle.

Step #3: Get out of your comfort zone

Everything you desire in life and you presently don’t have obviously lies outside your comfort zone. Hence, to achieve personal growth, you are going to have to step out of that circle and challenge yourself.

When you do that, you will start to notice small gains, small achievements stacking together and bring a positive change. So eliminate fear from your life. Go ahead and do that thing that scares you.

It will help you realize actually how capable you are in real life. Focus on small goals. Keep working towards it especially when it challenges you to step out of that comfort zone.

Step #4: Control your mind

Our mind can be dangerous. It can work for you or against you without you even knowing. But you cannot leave it to chance. Instead, you need to proactively program your mind to work for you.

Because interestingly, we have full control over how we think. We just need to be more conscious of our efforts. Once we do it regularly, our mind will stop sabotaging us subconsciously.

Negative feelings reduce self-control and self-worth. Regularly practice the ways to counteract the negative voice inside your mind.

Step #5: Stop comparing yourself with others

Simply put, when you compare yourself with others, you hold yourself back. First, it is important to understand that comparisons are almost always negative and they rarely help us in any way.

It is good to be motivated by others, but do not get competitive. When you see someone’s achievements, channel that emotion to turn it into inspiration for your own goals.

If you are certain that you can be the person you want to be, there is no need to compare yourself or compete with others. Everybody has different struggles in their lives. They can’t be compared.

Stop comparing yourself with others

Step #6: Stop making excuses

Levelling up your life is about building self-discipline, and building self-discipline is about putting an end to all excuses you make in your way to achieving your goals. If you are not achieving the results you want, it is time to focus on what actually matters.

Remember your long term goal but also break it down to smaller goals. This way, when you achieve the smaller goals one by one, it will allow you to feel accomplished.

It will remind you of how many steps closer you are from your ultimate goal.

Stop Making Excuses - Levelling up your life is about building self-discipline, and building self-discipline is about putting an end to all excuses you make in your way to achieving your goals.

Step #7: Associate pleasure with things you do

It is important to know your worth. When we are talking about how to level up in real life, we need to understand that it all starts with how we feel about ourselves. We want to feel happy doing what we do. It is the key to being consistent in pursuing your life goals.

Think about the rewards, the pleasure and the benefits you will get by reinforcing these actions. It will boost your willpower. The ultimate thing is to love the process, to enjoy the journey.

Whatever you do, love the process of doing it. If you work on a business, love working on it. If you are teaching, love it, enjoy it. Love reading books, love eating healthy, love learning, love exercising. It automatically solves all problems with consistency.

Step #8: Self-evaluate and improve

Levelling up yourself means all you have to do is to identify your present level and choose your next level. Evaluate where you are and where you want to be.

It is important to evaluate your strategy and know what works for you and what does not. Once you know, you can improve your system based on the results.

Repeat this process and you will see huge improvements in your habit and overall lifestyle.

John Wooden said: “Without proper self-evaluation failure is inevitable“

Self-evaluate and improve Levelling up yourself means all you have to do is to identify your present level and choose your next level.

Step #9: Be patient

Lastly, be patient. Know that good thing take time. Almost everything you do, you will not be seeing any outcomes for a long while.

But don’t give up because results will show up eventually if you keep at it with patience and perseverance. That is why overthinking is a big no-no. Just enjoy the journey and love the process of improving yourself every day without worrying about the outcomes.

There will be multiple situations where you will feel like giving up. That’s why persistence is one of the most important factors in levelling up in real life. The reason people fail is that they lose their patience and give up halfway in their journey.

Bottom line

So if you are asking yourself “how to level up in life?”, just find your purpose and passion. And don’t be afraid of pushing yourself beyond your comfort zone. Give yourself a self pep-talk whenever necessary. Visualize yourself in that next level living a better life. It will help you remember why you want to do it in the first place. Once you have the clarity required to reach your goal, keep pursuing your goal with passion. Passion will take you there.

Top 10 Time Management Tips for Teachers - How to Plan Your Time

Proper time management strategies for teachers are essential to incorporate in life. If you are in the teaching profession, then time management is probably the most important skill to have. It is pretty easy to feel overwhelmed by the tons of jobs you have in hand. The piles of marking, the never-ending lesson plans and the hips of tasks can feel like a huge burden if you don’t have the right time management skills needed for teaching.

Why is it important for teachers to have good time management skills?

Time management for preschool teachers is crucial to prioritize and optimize their daily work. First and foremost, you need to make a list of the tasks you need to accomplish in the day.

Then sort those tasks according to their urgency and importance. Now you will automatically have a clear goal, which in turn will help you to eliminate the time-wasters.

In addition to that, we are not to forget the stressful periods of time we have due to the lack of teacher time management hacks. Planning your day’s work ahead of time will significantly reduce your stress, reduce the possibilities of burnout and eliminate any impractical expectations you might have.

Applying time management in the classroom and outside of the classroom can get you more time and manage that time in a more efficient and effective manner.

What is the best way to time management?

The following time management activities for teachers can make your life easier.

#1: Make a to-do list for the next day

Try jotting down things you need to get done the next day. During a hectic day, it is pretty normal to forget some minor tasks or a certain task that you need to do can skip your mind due to other distractions.

That is why it is always recommended to note down your tasks or make a rough list of the tasks. It is in fact the perfect way to get all of that out of your mind. In addition to that, it will give you more clarity in terms of just figuring out where to start.

Make a to-do list for the next day Try jotting down things you need to get done the next day.

#2: Maintain a clear and visible schedule

Multiple studies have proven that it is indeed greatly helpful to design a visible schedule with square shaped time slots for your classroom activities.

It gives you an idea of what to prepare for or how you are going to spend the next slot of time.

Not only that, but you can also avoid any last minute rush if you have a planned schedule with distinct time slots to look at whenever required.

#3: Follow the 2-minute rule

Author David Allen has suggested a very clever and interesting time management tip for teachers in his book ‘Getting Things Done’. In the book, he says, if you have an important task in hand that would just need less than 2 minutes, then you should get the task done right now.

Because he says that you will most probably end up taking more than 2 minutes to come back later and finish this task.

You can easily apply this rule to small jobs such as replying to questions in emails, discussion forums or online groups, printing out handouts, photocopying tasks, dealing with admin requests or even washing up or attending to a tiny chore or running an errand.

Follow the 2-minute rule - if you have an important task in hand that would just need less than 2 minutes, then you should get the task done right now.

#4: Practice delegation of tasks

Focus on smart work. Learn to distinguish between stuff that you have to do and stuff you can get others to help in doing. It can save a great deal of your time and energy.

It is important to acknowledge that you cannot get everything done all by yourself. Therefore, approach your teacher’s community if needed. Maybe be more open to the suggestions and opinions of your fellow teachers and colleagues to get all the jobs done within their stipulated time frame.

#5: Set timers if required

Assign specific time frames for each individual task. Identify the priority tasks and analyze how much time you need to give the tasks to reach completion. According to that set your timer and go ahead with the job. It will surely help you refocus and avoid distraction when you are mid way.

Why is time management important in the classroom?

Time management for teachers in the classroom is crucial because it decides how effective and useful your lessons will be. There are certain things you should analyze and determine before you enter the classroom. For example, how long will a particular lesson take for the students to complete? Or how long will it take you to make a lesson plan?

#6: Communicate your goals to the students

Tell your students about how you intend to proceed and what your ultimate goal is. Along with that, set a clear objective and goal for the individual class you are going to take at the moment. Communicate where you intend to focus at the start of the class. It is even better if you write your goals on the board along with the expected time frames to complete each step of the goal.

Communicate your goals to the students Tell your students about how you intend to proceed and what your ultimate goal is.

#7: Save questions for the end of class

Hold the student questions until the end of class. Tell your students to save their questions and answer them one by one at the end of the lesson. Tell students to jot down their questions on notepads during the class so that you can address those questions one by one systematically.

#8: Come pre-prepared

Come to class pre-prepared regarding what activities you are going to do in the class. It always helps to make yourself flexible enough to either cut an activity out of your plan and shift it to the next class or fill in with a new or unplanned activity a few minutes before the class ends. This way, you will never waste your time as well as the time of your students.

#10: Have action cues

Teachers can use a particular action, motion or sound to signify the start of an activity or even to direct the students to perform a certain action (for instance, closing their mouth, or turning their head towards the teacher). Having such cues and using them will help the teachers to easily get the kids to refocus and prepare.
